during a great storm a ship is wrecked and in the water there are two shipwrecked sailors, Ahab and Nemo. They both see a plank in the debris it is only means of survival in the treacherous waters but it can only support one of them and both of them swim towards it. Ahab gets to the plank first. Nemo is going to drown, and so pushes Ahab off and away from the plank and, thus, causes Ahab to drown and die. Nemo gets on the plank and is later saved by a rescue team. So can Nemo be tried for murder? if Nemo had to kill Ahab in order to live, wasn’t it self-defence?
you are hanging from a very tall tower its a thousand foot drop to your death and your slipping so you call your three very closest and dearest best friends for help they rush out to save you but they’re afraid that if they help you up they will get pulled over and fall themselves so they step back and you fall… but live (you have a parachute) now do you wish you never tested your friends knowing you can’t count on them in a life or death situation? or would have been better never to have tested them?
